After rolling out COCA 3.0, May brought a new level of activity across the COCA ecosystem.
That momentum turned into huge growth, more online visibility, and a busy month of app improvements, community moments, and fresh launches.
Here’s what happened last month 👇
📈 Growth & Momentum
May’s momentum showed up directly in the numbers.
Active users: +90%
Transaction volume: +56%
Card orders: +255%
🌏 Another interesting highlight from May: the strongest user activity came from Asia-led markets — China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and the Philippines — with Germany also among the top five.
⚙️ COCA App Updates
COCA got a fresh batch of improvements in May.
Deposits became easier with one unified address across supported networks, except Solana. We also improved deposit transaction details and added a clearer loading state on the deposit screen.
Card and account flows got cleaner too: users can now sign out from Profile, order a new card if the previous one was closed, and see improved address validation when ordering a plastic card.
On top of that, we improved app translations, fixed cashback notifications, and made the app more stable.
👥 COCA Referral Program Update
In May, we relaunched the COCA referral program.
Now your friend gets $10 to start, and you earn $20 for every friend who signs up with your link, orders a COCA card, and spends just $100 across three different merchants within 30 days — with no referral cap.
The new conditions make rewards easier to unlock and the program simpler to join. So don’t wait — start inviting your friends today.

🚀 COCA Affiliate Program Launch
Another big piece of news from May: the COCA Affiliate Program went live.
It’s built for creators, website owners, and community builders who want to grow with COCA and earn recurring rewards along the way.
The program includes three reward streams: user activation, COCA Card spend, and $COCA staking bonuses.
For full details check out this blog — and see how to join.

🇿🇦 COCA at BlockFest Africa
In May, COCA hit BlockFest Africa in Cape Town with its own side event.
The room was full of builders, crypto natives, and Web3-curious minds talking about the future of money.
We added some highlights below — take a look and feel the Cape Town energy!
✏️ COCA vs Ready and Crypto.com
In May, we published two comparison articles: COCA vs Ready and COCA vs Crypto.com.
Both pieces were built with feedback from our users, helping us make the comparisons accurate, clearer, and closer to what people actually want to know before choosing a crypto card.
If you missed them, now’s a good time to catch up.
🍕 Bitcoin Pizza Week
To celebrate Bitcoin Pizza Day, we launched a community campaign with one simple mission: get pizza and use COCA.
The community joined by sharing pizza photos, videos, and COCA payment moments.
We received a lot of fun content, wrapped up the campaign, and rewarded the best entries.
Big thanks to everyone who joined and made Bitcoin Pizza Week so fun!

📖 COCA User Story
In May, we shared Vitor’s story — a COCA user who moved from Brazil to Ireland and started using crypto in a new way.
With COCA, he made everyday crypto spending smoother, earned €500+ in cashback, and bought an iPhone and a MacBook for his new life in Europe.

🗓 Tier Extension Through August 31
We extended higher Loyalty tiers through August 31 for early adopters and users with previous discounted or free tier access.
It’s a simple thank-you for being part of COCA and staying with us.

🌍 COCA Is Getting Noticed
May brought more online visibility for COCA, with new roundups, rankings, and mentions across the web.
It’s great to see COCA reaching new audiences and showing up in more conversations around crypto cards and everyday payments.
👀 What’s Next
After a busy May, we’re getting ready to bring even more practical features into the app.
You’ll soon be able to get a new ACH bank account (USD) in COCA, deposit more stablecoins across more networks with NEAR Intents, exchange USD to EUR and vice versa in the app, and make card-to-card transfers.
We’re also working on COCA usernames, so sending funds to other users feels much simpler. And yes — buying, exchanging, and sending COCA tokens directly in the app is coming shortly too!
Thank you for staying with us — have a great month ahead, and enjoy the journey with COCA.
