COCA Monthly Update: June 2026

  • 4 min read

If June had a theme, it would be momentum.

Over the past month, COCA reached new milestones, launched in a brand-new market, rolled out features users had been asking for, and spent more time connecting with our community – both online and in person.

From product improvements and record-breaking growth to events in South Africa and a GTA campaign that disappeared almost as quickly as it arrived, there was plenty happening across the COCA ecosystem.

Here's everything that made June one to remember.

📈 Growth & Momentum

June kept the momentum going.

After a record-breaking May, COCA continued to grow across the board, proving that last month's performance wasn't a one-off – it was the start of a strong upward trend.

  • New Card Orders: +21%

  • Card Transaction Volume: +5%

  • Active Card Users: +14%

The strongest growth in new users came from Indonesia, Turkey, and Germany 🚀

⚙️ Product Updates & Improvements

In June, we made the COCA experience smoother and more useful with new features, improvements, and a few important fixes.

One of the biggest updates was card-to-card transfers. Users can now send USD or EUR using only a card number, first name, and last name. And it was not limited to COCA cards: transfers also worked with any Visa or Mastercard.

We also added statements for any period users choose, plus proof of ownership for their accounts and cards. Simple things, but very useful when you need official confirmation in just a few taps.

On top of that, we cleaned up a few small bugs to make the app feel smoother.

🇹🇷 COCA Officially Launched in Turkey

June also marked an important local milestone: COCA officially launched in Turkey.

To get closer to the Turkish-speaking community, we opened a dedicated Telegram group and launched a dedicated X/Twitter account, giving users more places to ask questions, follow updates, and connect with the COCA team in their own language.

We also made the COCA app available in Turkish, helping the experience feel more familiar, simple, and local.

Merhaba, Turkey. We’re happy to have you with us.

💥 30% Cashback on GTA VI Pre-Orders

We also launched a short, loud, and very fun cashback drop for one of the biggest game releases of the decade.

For 48 hours, users could pre-order GTA VI with their COCA Card on PlayStation Store or Xbox Store and get 30% cashback in USD or EUR.

No reruns. No second chances. Just a limited-time cashback drop for gamers who moved fast. Hope you were one of them 😉

🎙 COCA × Polygon AMA Space

Last month, we went live with Polygon for an AMA Space on X to talk about how crypto is becoming part of everyday life.

Together, we had a genuinely engaging conversation about Web3 infrastructure, real-world spending, earning, and what it means to stay in control of your money while using products that feel simple enough for daily life.

Big thanks to our ecosystem partner Polygon for joining us, sharing their perspective, and making the discussion so interesting.

If you missed it, the full AMA recap is available on our blog: From Chain to Card: COCA × Polygon AMA Recap

🗣 Talking Crypto Cards with Emergence Media

Our CEO, Vasili Paulau, also joined Emergence Media’s X Space for a live conversation with other builders about crypto cards.

The big question was simple: are crypto cards the future of spending, or just hype?

It was a fun and useful discussion about where crypto cards are today, what still needs to improve, and how products like COCA can make crypto easier to use in real life.

🤩 New COCA User Story: Florian’s Cashback Journey

We published another COCA User Story, this time featuring Florian from Germany.

Florian was already spending on the usual things: groceries, fuel, bills, household expenses, and family life. With a 230 km daily commute, those costs added up quickly.

By using COCA for the same everyday spending, he started getting around €90–€120 back each month.

Same routine, better outcome. That’s the kind of everyday win we love to see.

Read Florian’s full story here.

💭 COCA Community FAQ

In June, we also launched COCA Community FAQ, a new regular series across our social channels.

The idea is simple. We collect recent questions from the COCA community and answer them clearly, directly, and transparently.

It gives everyone a chance to connect with the team, understand how COCA works, and get insights into what we’re building next.

💎 COCA Online

COCA continued to gain more visibility across the web.

More and more often, COCA appeared in roundups, rankings, and conversations around crypto cards, self-banking, and everyday payments. We also kept seeing COCA take strong positions in card comparisons and top crypto card lists.

For us, this is more than just another mention. It shows that COCA is reaching new audiences and becoming part of a bigger conversation about how people spend, earn, and manage money in everyday life.

🌍 COCA Offline

June was also an active month offline, especially in South Africa.

The COCA team joined the Binance Meetup in Cape Town, Payments Live and Stablecoin Salon Africa in Johannesburg, supported by Binance, Tether, and Utila.

We also visited Jeffreys Bay, where our Country Manager introduced COCA to a new local audience.

Most importantly, these events helped us meet people face to face, grow COCA’s presence in South Africa, and welcome more users into the community.

What’s Next

June brought product updates, new community moments, and more real-world activity for COCA. But we’re not slowing down.

The COCA team is working hard to bring even more improvements to the app and make the everyday experience smoother, more flexible, and more powerful.

And very soon, you’ll be able to:

  • Deposit a wider range of stablecoins across more supported networks, powered by NEAR Intents

  • Set up a COCA username and send funds to other COCA users more easily

  • Buy and exchange COCA tokens directly in the app

  • And much more

Thanks for staying with us.

More updates are already on the way.

Team COCA
