Turning Rising Costs Into €120 Cashback Per Month

Most people accept rising costs as part of life. Groceries get more expensive. Fuel prices go up. Household bills keep climbing. You adjust, spend more, and move on.

But for Florian, a 32-year-old family man and homeowner from Germany, those costs were hard to ignore, especially when you drive 230 km for work every day.

With prices rising and everyday life becoming more expensive, Florian started looking for a way to make the money he was already spending work a little harder. That search led him to COCA.

Today, Florian uses COCA almost everywhere he can and earns around €90 to €120 back every month.

Here’s his story 👇

Q: Hi Florian! Let’s start with you. Tell us a bit about yourself.

A: My name is Florian, I’m 32 years old, and I live in Germany. I’m a homeowner, a family man, and I have a rather expensive hobby: gaming. And since we’re talking about COCA, I’m also a COCA user on the Premium tier. 🙂

Q: Nice! How did you first discover COCA?

A: I discovered COCA through a friend who introduced me to it. Before that, I was using a different crypto card provider, but they completely ruined their project. They paid out rewards in their native token, which created massive selling pressure. As a result, you end up losing a lot of the money you initially deposited or invested.

COCA: Not exactly the cashback experience you were hoping for.

Q: What did your friend tell you about COCA that made you think, “Okay, this is worth checking out”?

A: He told me that the rewards are paid out in stablecoins, which is a massive upgrade and a much better system!

COCA: That’s a big difference. Cashback feels much more useful when it’s predictable and doesn’t come with the same kind of token volatility. And with COCA now, having that value in USD or EUR makes the cashback feel more practical and easier to use.

Q: Before COCA, how did you usually pay for everyday things?

A: I used my personal traditional bank card and my other crypto cashback card, Plutus.

Q: And what was missing from that setup?

A: The complete lack of real rewards.

COCA: That must have been frustrating.

Q: Since you were already familiar with crypto cards, what made COCA feel like the right one for everyday spending?

A: I wanted to earn passive income from everyday shopping. Here in Germany, things have really become expensive, so you naturally look for any opportunity to save money. For me, it just makes sense: if I have to spend the money anyway, I might as well get something back. That’s why I try to use COCA absolutely everywhere I can.

Interviewer: That makes sense. Just out of curiosity, where do you feel rising costs the most – groceries, fuel, household expenses, or something else?

A: Groceries and especially fuel. I have a daily commute of 230 km for work, so fuel costs are a major factor for me.

COCA: 230 km every day is a lot. At that point, fuel isn’t just a small expense, it becomes part of the monthly budget you really feel.

Q: Could you share with us how much cashback you usually receive in a typical month?

A: I get around €90 to €120 per month with COCA. It’s absolutely awesome!

COCA: That really adds up. €120 a month can become €1,440 a year, enough for something meaningful, like covering a big part of an annual household electricity bill, upgrading your gaming setup, or putting it toward a family weekend away.

A: Exactly. For me, it also feels like a kind of protection against inflation. Since I have to pay for these things anyway, the payment itself is the same whether I use a standard bank card or my COCA card – but with COCA, I get something back. And now that I can make transfers for free via IBAN, it’s even easier to use COCA for my regular monthly spending. Thanks, COCA 3.0!

Q: That’s a great point. How did IBAN transfers change the way you use COCA?

A: My partner and I now load the card directly at the beginning of the month with the exact budget we need for the entire month.

Interviewer: That’s smart.

Q: Was there any specific moment with COCA that really stuck with you?

A: Honestly, it’s hard to choose one, because every transaction is kind of fun. You see the benefit COCA brings right away, and you always look forward to the 10th of every month.

COCA: That’s amazing to hear!

Q: Was there one specific purchase where you clearly felt, “This is why I use COCA”?

A: Yes, when I purchased my balcony solar power plant, my Balkonkraftwerk. I received around €25 back in cashback, which means the system will pay for itself and reach amortization even faster.

Q: Very nice! If you had made that same purchase with a standard German bank card, what would have been different?

A: Exactly €0 in cashback!

Q: Has COCA become your main card, or do you still use it only for selected purchases?

A: 110%! I absolutely love it, and I wouldn’t want to give it up ever again.

COCA: That’s really nice to hear, as this is EXACTLY our goal with COCA.

Q: Have you recommended COCA to friends, colleagues, or family?

A: Yes, my friends were very positively surprised. I also share my experience on my X account, where I regularly post my cashback results. People are genuinely amazed by the rewards you can get here, and the fact that it’s paid out in stablecoins makes it even better!

COCA: That makes sense. Seeing real cashback results from someone you know is always more convincing than just reading about a product feature. And with COCA’s referral program, sharing your good experience can also bring something back: $20 for every invited friend.

Q: f you had to describe COCA in one word, what would it be?

A: Efficient!

COCA: Very German answer, and very accurate. I like it 😊

Q: Last question: what would make COCA even more useful for everyday life in Germany?

A: It would be amazing if we could use it for direct debits, or Lastschrift, to pay for household contracts and bills and earn cashback on those as well. Also, getting interest or yield on euro fiat balances would be an absolute game-changer!

COCA: Thanks for sharing. The good news is that COCA is already moving in that direction. Eligible utility payments, like gas and electricity, can earn cashback depending on how the payment is categorized. Not every bill qualifies, but regular utilities may still give something back. Direct debits are planned for the future too, and euro balance interest is coming soon.

Thanks so much for sharing your story, Florian. It was really interesting to hear how COCA fits into your everyday life.

Florian’s story is not about one big luxury purchase or a once-in-a-lifetime trip. It’s about something much more familiar: groceries, fuel, household bills, family budgeting, and the reality of managing everyday life as prices keep rising.

For Florian, COCA turns everyday spending into something that gives back – around €90 to €120 a month from expenses he is already paying for. And sometimes, that’s exactly what makes a product valuable: not because it changes your life overnight, but because it quietly makes real life more efficient.
