“I sold all the $CRO I’d collected over the last 5-6 years, switched to COCA Elite, and now earn 8% cashback on every purchases”

Most people don’t switch financial platforms lightly.
Especially not after six years.
But when the rewards stop matching the vision – and when better utility appears – smart users move.
Today, we’re sharing the story of Michael, also known as FM – a 31-year-old product manager from Germany and a highly active and valuable member of the COCA community. After 5-6 years inside the Crypto.com ecosystem, he made a bold decision: he exited completely, upgraded to COCA Elite, and in just two months earned around €700 in cashback.
This interview is part of our ongoing series highlighting real COCA users and how they integrate the app into their everyday lives. FM shares what motivated him to switch, how COCA fits into his daily spending, and why the community has become part of his routine.
Enjoy the interview.
Q: As usual, let’s start with you telling us about yourself.
A: I’m Michael, I’m 31, and I live in Germany. I work as a product manager, building and improving digital products.
Q: What other crypto cards had you used before COCA, and what made you check COCA out?
A: I used Crypto.com for about six years, but I started looking for something better – mainly higher cashback without having to stake a crazy amount of money. I first found COCA in a Reddit comment.
What made me check it out was the cashback rates and the FX terms. Before upgrading to the Elite tier, I joined the community, and that really sold me. I was surprised (in a good way) that the COCA CEO was actually active in Telegram discussions. After I learned more about the “self-banking” vision, I decided to go all-in and get the Elite tier.
To do that, I sold all my $CRO that I’d collected over the last 5-6 years, plus a bunch of other coins. Now I only hold $BTC, some $ETH, and $COCA.
Interviewer: That’s impressive! Thanks for sharing that.
Q: How long have you been using COCA?
A: I’ve been using it since the beginning of January 2026 as my main card for payments.
Q: What are your favorite COCA perks, and how have they affected your day-to-day life?
A: For me it’s the 8% cashback – it’s just nice to get some euros back when I’m spending anyway. And I genuinely enjoy the community. The only downside is my wife isn’t always happy because I’m on my phone a bit too often, following the COCA chat and joining community contests 😄
Interviewer: Sounds like we have the perfect fix for you. Invite your wife to the COCA chat so she can join the fun (and the rewards) too 😄
Q: By the way, how much have you saved or earned with COCA overall?
A: So far I’ve earned around €700 in cashback – and that’s in just two months. A big part of it came from booking a vacation and covering my brother’s 30th birthday. When the FX was at 0%, I saved about €40 with it.
Interviewer: That’s a solid amount in just two months!Q: Now, tell us about a memorable moment using COCA.
A: I booked a flight on the airline’s website. The departure airport was in another country, so the currency was different. The airline offered to charge me in euros, but I chose to pay in the local currency instead. When I checked my card balance afterward, I realized I’d saved about €40. The FX rate on COCA was simply much better than the airline’s conversion.
Now I’m really looking forward to that trip and to using my COCA card a lot in Croatia for great food and fun activities.
Interviewer: That sounds amazing – Croatia is a great choice! Enjoy the trip, and we hope your COCA card makes every meal and activity even more rewarding.Q: If you could change one thing about COCA, what would it be?
A: More transparency
Q: Do you have any specific suggestions or recommendations on how we could improve in that area? That would be very useful for us.
A: Here are some measurements:
Show team on the Website including pictures and real names
Publish reports: How many $COCA have been sold by COCA in the last month, how many $COCA are locked for card tiers at the moment, how many monthly active users, etc.
More Q&A + AMA sessions
Interviewer: Thank you for the concrete suggestions, this kind of feedback is exactly what helps us improve.
Transparency is a core COCA principle, and we’re actively strengthening it.
Team visibility: We’re working on a refreshed website that will showcase key team members with real names and roles. Coming in Q2 2026.
More communication: We’ve already increased AMAs (at least quarterly) and recently started to run more frequent Q&A sessions at least once – often more – per month.
More metrics: In our monthly and quarterly updates (including the latest January recap), we share key growth data. We aim to disclose as many metrics as possible, and we’re open to expanding this further where information isn’t commercially sensitive.
We truly value a community that pushes for higher standards – it makes COCA stronger, so thanks for the feedback.
Q: Have you recommended COCA to anyone else?
A: Yes, definitely. I’ve recommended COCA several times already.
Interviewer: Love hearing that! Q: And one final question – describe the COCA community in three words.
A: Active critical experts
Interviewer: That’s a great way to put it – active and knowledgeable, and not afraid to give honest feedback. A community with high standards is a huge strength, and we really value it. Thanks for being part of it.

Huge thanks to Michael for sharing his story – both the wins and the feedback.
This isn’t just about €700 in cashback. It’s about a bigger shift: from holding crypto to actually using it. From passive rewards to real-world utility.
That’s what COCA is built for – practical, rewarding, everyday crypto.
